We are currently seeking a highly motivated and qualified Technical Writer (m/f/d) to join our client’s team in the canton of Solothurn. This is a permanent position with an 80% workload, offering the possibility of up to 2 days of home office per week.

Role

Technical Writer / Technical Editor (Technischer Redakteur) – 80%

Responsibilities

• Ensuring compliance with legal requirements, standards, and industry guidelines
• Creating and adapting technical illustrations using tools such as Adobe Creative Cloud
• Developing and maintaining multilingual documentation (primarily English and German)
• Ensuring consistency, quality, and reusability of documentation content
• Supporting translation and localization processes

Qualifications

• BA degree in Technical Writing or a technical vocational qualification with further training in this field
• Knowledge of relevant legal regulations and their implementation through standards
• Solid knowledge of the authoring system Schema ST4
• Very good knowledge of Microsoft Office
• Good knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud
• Excellent written English skills with a strong sense of style and accuracy; fluent German (spoken and written). (English will become the future documentation language.)
• Good knowledge of French/Spanish is an advantage
• Experience in Medtech or automotive
