We are seeking a Technical Writer to work at our Warren, Ohio headquarters. The Technical Writer must gain deep understanding of Drake products and services; translate complex information into simple, polished, engaging content; and communicate the information to people with diverse backgrounds.

The Technical Writer will prepare instruction manuals, journal articles, and other supporting documents to communicate complex and technical information more easily. May also develop, gather, and disseminate technical information among customers, designers, and manufacturers. This individual will create operating instructions, how-to manuals, assembly instructions, and “frequently asked questions” pages to help technical support staff, consumers, and other users within a company or an industry. After a product is released, the technical writer also may work with customer service to improve the end-user experience.

Qualifications

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Accurate typing and communication skills.
• Proven experience with Word and other Microsoft Office products is required.
• Strong work ethic and ability to work effectively in a self-directed, self-inspected environment.
• This position requires a high school degree or equivalent. A two-year or four-year degree in a technical writing related field is preferred.
• This is an Entry Level position.
