Technical Writer I

Overview

Darkblade Systems, a CIS Secure company, has an opportunity for a Technical Writer I supporting a new program located at Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD.

Responsibilities

• Collect and organize information for preparation of user manuals, training materials, installation guides, proposals, and reports.
• Edit functional descriptions, system specifications, user manuals, special reports, or any other customer deliverables and documents.

Operating Hours and Expectations

• This position anticipates standard work hours, Monday-Friday.

Travel

• Limited or minimal travel expected.

Qualifications

Clearance

• Active Top Secret / SCI clearance required.
• Potential to upgrade Secret clearance.

Education

• Associates of Arts or Science OR two-year technical school degree + minimum of 3 years relevant experience OR
• High school diploma / GED plus 10 years experience

Skills and Experience

• Experience with collecting and organizing information for preparation of user manuals, training materials, installation guides, proposals, and reports.
• Minimum of 3 years relevant graphics support experience, or military experience E4 and up.
