About
Koniak Technology Solutions, a Koniak Government Services company, is seeking a Technical Writer with a Top‑Secret clearance to support KTS and our government customer in Washington, DC. This position is for a future new business opportunity and will act as the primary contact between our office and the Federal Bureau of Investigations (FBI). The role requires a self‑motivated, well‑organized, design‑oriented, and customer‑focused individual.

Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain technical documentation for system tradecraft methodologies, including operations documentation, user guides, technical publications, briefings, reports, and training materials.
- Interpret engineering and maintenance drawings, and operational procedures to blend large quantities of system‑related information.
- Work on all phases of technical documentation to ensure products are accurate, complete, consistent, meet editorial and government specifications, contain appropriate security classification markings, and adhere to standards for quality, graphics, format, and style.
- Coordinate with technical personnel and subject‑matter experts to document key elements of operational functionality (overviews, processes/workflows, requirements, etc.) to ensure delivery of quality documentation and training materials.
- Review and edit documents for grammar, format, and clarity prior to program management approval.
- Review and edit procedures related to standard IT workflows.
- Aid in the development of accreditation documentation, if required.
- Maintain and suggest improvements to the internal documentation library.
- Maintain the program’s document‑tracking spreadsheet on the status of contract deliverables.
Requirements
- Top Secret Security Clearance and 5 years of relevant experience.
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Experience using Microsoft SharePoint.
- Ability to work predominately on the customer site during a 40‑hour work week.
