Responsibilities
Supplier Management & Performance Oversight
- Manage external authoring suppliers to ensure adherence to Bombardier standards, schedules, and quality requirements.
- Review supplier deliverables, provide structured feedback, and drive corrective and preventive actions.
- Monitor supplier KPIs (quality, throughput, on‑time delivery) and support performance reviews.
- Support supplier onboarding, training, and alignment with Bombardier processes and expectations.
Quality Assurance & Compliance
- Perform detailed quality checks of technical publications to ensure compliance with S1000D, ATA, and Bombardier style and formatting standards.
- Validate integration of engineering data, configuration accuracy, and technical correctness.
- Lead root‑cause analysis for publication defects and implement corrective and preventive measures.
- Ensure customer and operator requests are analyzed and addressed with clear, timely responses.
Publication Planning & Delivery Management
- Develop, maintain, and communicate publication schedules, identifying risks and implementing mitigation plans.
- Coordinate with engineering, planners, customer support, and suppliers to ensure timely data availability and issue resolution.
- Track and report KPIs related to quality, throughput, and on‑time delivery.
- Ensure publication packages are delivered to customers according to committed timelines and acceptance criteria.
Process, Standards & Continuous Improvements
- Contribute to the development and refinement of authoring standards, templates, workflows, and digital publication strategies.
- Identify and implement process and product improvements aligned with the Technical Publications strategic plan.
- Support initiatives related to structured authoring, content management systems, and digital delivery formats.
Requirements
- College diploma (DEC) in aerospace, engineering technology, or a related field, or a minimum of three years of experience in Technical Publications.
- Thorough understanding of the processes, standards, and quality assurance practices related to Technical Publications.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings, change requests, and maintenance data.
- Strong communication skills (written and spoken) in English; French is a strong asset.
- Experience managing or coordinating external authoring suppliers.
- Knowledge of S1000D, ATA, XML/SGML authoring environments, and content‑management systems.
- Background in aircraft maintenance, MRO operations, or aerospace engineering.
- Familiarity with Bombardier Customer Services and Support processes.
- Excellent proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
