HOW A TECHNICAL WRITER WILL MAKE AN IMPACT

• Create, edit, and maintain comprehensive technical documentation, such as SOPs, knowledge base articles, FAQ sections, and internal process guides.
• Collaborate with subject matter experts, engineers, and product managers to gather essential information, ensuring technical accuracy throughout.
• Develop and refine templates and content standards to uphold consistency and high quality across all documentation.
• Translate complex technical data into engaging and user-friendly content for diverse audiences.
• Oversee documentation through all stages: drafting, reviewing, publishing, and updating as necessary.
• Work alongside graphic designers or UX teams to incorporate visuals that enhance the clarity of written content.
• Ensure all documents align with the company’s brand voice and adhere to best practices in accessibility.

Required Skills

• Strong command of English grammar, style, and syntax.
• Familiarity with documentation tools.
• Ability to quickly understand complex technical concepts and articulate them clearly.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO SUCCEED:

• Education: Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a related field, or an advanced degree (e.g., Computer Science, IT Management, Engineering, Data Science).
• Required Experience: 4+ years of direct professional writing experience.
• Required Certifications: Certified Professional Technical Communicator (CPTC).
• Security Clearance Level: TS/SCI with active polygraph.
• Work Location: Tysons, VA - On Customer Site.

Salary

The expected salary range for this position is $90,504 - $122,446. Salary will be determined based on experience, geographic location, and other factors.

Scheduled Weekly Hours: 40

Travel Required: Less than 10%

Telecommuting Options: Onsite
