Responsibilities

As a Technical Writer, you will:

• Create and review technical documents for accuracy, grammar, clarity, and consistency.
• Prepare, review, revise, and maintain various documentation related to systems and software, including user guides and how-to manuals.
• Write and edit documentation detailing hardware and software requirements, installation procedures, and end-user instructions.
• Standardize documentation through the development and implementation of templates.
• Ensure compliance with agency publication standards and consistency with style guides.
• Collaborate with authors to improve narrative organization and implement necessary revisions.
• Maintain a systematic document library for efficient storage and retrieval of documentation.
• Participate in special projects as needed.

Qualifications

What You’ll Need to Succeed:

• Education and Experience: BA/BS with 8+ years of relevant experience.
• Security Clearance: TS/SCI clearance with the ability to obtain a Polygraph.
• Knowledge of technical writing, research principles, and editing practices.
• Proficiency in word-processing and desktop publishing software.
• Familiarity with the organization’s products, services, and customer needs.
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Location: On Customer Site at 200 MacDill Blvd, Washington, DC.

Salary

Salary: The likely salary range for this position is $93,662 - $126,500, dependent on experience and geographic location.
