Technical Writing Coach / Mentor (Fintech / SaaS Focus – Short-Term Engagement)

I’m a senior communications professional (12+ years) transitioning into technical writing, with a focus on fintech and SaaS. I’m looking for an experienced technical writer who can act as a hands-on coach for a short-term engagement (approximately 3–4 weeks).

This is not a theoretical or course-based request — I’m looking for practical, real-world guidance.

What I need:

I will be working on my first project with a company and need a coach to work with me through the process.

Support includes:

• Review and feedback on portfolio pieces (user guides, process documentation, etc.)
• Help structuring documentation to meet industry standards
• Guidance on clarity, tone, and usability in technical documentation
• Occasional Q&A support as I work through drafts

Ideal background:

• Senior technical writer or content designer
• Experience in SaaS, fintech, or digital products
• Strong experience writing user-facing and/or internal documentation
• Comfortable providing direct, constructive feedback

Engagement details:

• 3–6 sessions total (30–60 minutes each)
• Flexible scheduling
• Open to hourly or package pricing

Goal:

To produce 2–3 high-quality portfolio pieces that reflect real-world technical writing standards.
