Location: Office in Munich (3-4 days/month on-site) Residence: Possible nationwide in Germany Start: ASAP
Your Role
As Technical Project Manager, you will take overall responsibility for a complete BESS large-scale project – with a focus on primary technology, substations, and 380 kV grid connection. You will act as the central point of contact between EPC partners, subcontractors, grid operators, and internal decision-makers. Two plants are planned in Lower Saxony, one in Bavaria. One Senior BESS Project Manager is sought per plant.
Responsibilities
- Technical and commercial management of a BESS large-scale project (RTB to construction phase)
- Management of multiple EPC partners and subcontractors in a lean setup
- Responsibility for deadlines, budget, quality, and risks
- Development and management of procurement and awarding structures for BESS
- Technical-commercial evaluation of RFQs and offers
- Cooperation with grid operators, authorities, and municipalities
- Regular reporting to management and investors
As long as the projects are not yet in the construction phase, regular site presence is not required. Two plants are in the far north and one in Bavaria.
Profile
- Degree in Electrical Engineering or comparable
- Several years of experience in BESS, substation, or 380 kV projects
- Very good understanding of primary technology, EPC structures, and subcontractor models
- Experience in project management, procurement, or technical project management
- High degree of independence, hands-on mentality, and strong communication skills
- Languages: Fluent German & English (contracts partly in English)
- Travel: Regularly to Munich, project-related to locations
