Technology Architect

Job Summary

The Technology Architect is responsible for developing, recommending, implementing, and managing the technical architecture for applications in a large, distributed, cross-platform environment. The role involves providing leadership and guidance to project teams, ensuring alignment with organizational standards and best practices, and facilitating communication among various stakeholders. This position requires strong experience in business and solution architecture, enterprise architecture methodologies, and soft skills such as communication, facilitation, and problem-solving.

Responsibilities

• Develop, recommend, implement, and manage technical architecture (hardware, software, database, and communications).
• Provide leadership, guidance, and support to project teams and subject matter experts.
• Create and maintain models/artifacts/diagrams related to establishing shared use solutions.
• Analyze and approve design and implementation approaches for interface touch points.
• Evaluate technology options and make informed decisions based on cost, compatibility, and industry best practices.
• Update, develop, and validate business architecture and solution/technical architecture models/artifacts, documents, and materials.
• Collaborate with cluster staff, project teams, clients, and other partners to ensure architecture alignment.
• Define the structure and relationship among technical solutions, including reusable components and interfaces.
• Lead privacy impact assessment (PIA) and threat risk assessment (TRA) activities.
• Arrange and facilitate Enterprise Architecture (EA) meetings.
• Support the process of acquiring cluster and corporate approvals.
• Adhere to all relevant standards.
