We are seeking an experienced, strategic, and detail-oriented Program Manager to lead cross-functional programs that deliver impactful outcomes across the global data organization. This role requires a proven background in program delivery, team collaboration, stakeholder management, and team championing. The ideal team member can manage the on-time delivery of multiple complex initiatives and foster a culture of partnership and trust. Experience in data-driven environments and familiarity with data concepts combined with a passion for leveraging data to drive business outcomes and operational efficiency is preferred.
Key Responsibilities:
Program Leadership + Delivery
- Leads end-to-end planning and execution of strategic data initiatives, programs, and products spanning multiple functional teams and business stakeholders.
- Helps define and manage scope, goals, deliverables, dependencies, risks and milestones across data product projects.
- Confidently communicates business goals and drives project progress through ambiguity and complexity, acting as a central point of contact and communication between data team, OCTO teams, business stakeholders and executives.
- Champions ways of working that promote productivity balanced with shared understanding and empathy.
- Collaborates within Global Data organization ensure organizational pillars of data quality, governance, and sustainability.
Risk + Impact Management
- Identify project and program-level risks, and develop mitigation strategies, escalating issues when necessary.
- Track and resolve program impediments and interdependencies that impact timelines or deliverables aided by strong relational currency.
- Manages risks calmly and professionally and always advocates for the needs of delivery teams in support of collective outcomes.
- Provides regular reporting on progress, roadblocks, and outcomes to senior leadership.
Process + Governance
- Implements and maintains effective program governance structures, including reporting frameworks, dashboards, and communication plans.
- Supports transparency in data product roadmap progress and prioritization to stakeholders in line with best practices and standards of Product Excellence and ideal product development lifecycle.
- Drives continuous improvement by identifying gaps in processes and working with teams to implement best practices, especially in data management, data product, data governance, and analytics.
- Monitors key performance indicators, including those related to data quality and integrity, in line with global data standards and outcomes.
- Supports organizational planning by providing input on timelines, resource needs, and cross-team dependencies.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in business, Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or a related field (MBA, PMP, or data-related certifications preferred).
- 5+ years of program management experience in a technology, product-driven, or data-focused organization.
- Demonstrated ability to lead large-scale programs with multiple workstreams and stakeholders, including data migration and analytics projects.
- Strong knowledge of project and program management tools (e.g., Jira, Jira Product Discovery, Confluence, Smartsheet, MS Project).
- Experience with data analysis tools and platforms preferred (e.g., SQL, Python, R, Tableau, Power BI, Looker).
- Familiarity with data processing, ETL pipelines, and data migration best practices preferred.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and conflict-resolution skills.
- Strategic thinker with a proactive approach to solving complex problems.
Compensation

Compensation at Pearson is influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to skill set, level of experience, and specific location. As required by the California, Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, New York State, New York City, Vermont, Washington State, and Washington DC laws, the pay range for this position is as follows:
The full-time salary range is between $110,000 - $130,000.
