Responsibilities of a Territory Sales Manager: • Champion Customer Success: Cultivate and sustain customer relationships through a collaborative team approach. Educate customers on ordering platforms and offer tailored menu consultations, product suggestions, and pricing strategies to support their success. • Drive Business Growth: Success will be measured by your sales figures, case growth, and new client acquisitions. Deliver compelling sales presentations and customize your sales strategies to meet individual client needs while managing your time and territory effectively. • Collaborative Selling: Partner with Specialists to explore top penetration opportunities and support new account openings. Collaborate closely with marketing, supply chain, and customer service to guarantee seamless product delivery. • Insightful Leadership: Identify and cultivate new business by leveraging market intelligence, business directories, and referrals from existing clients, while participating in industry organizations and trade events. • Address Delivery Issues: Oversee delivery schedules coordinated by the transportation department, and swiftly resolve any order-related issues that may arise. • Competitive Market Knowledge: Stay informed about market conditions, product innovations, and competitor strategies, sharing relevant information with customers as part of our value-added services. • On-the-Go Engagement: Utilize your personal vehicle for regular check-ins, customer visits, and follow-ups to ensure customer satisfaction.
Work Environment No direct reports. Work is conducted primarily outside the office in your assigned territory, visiting clients in varied weather and temperature conditions.
Minimum Qualifications: • At least 1 year of sales experience preferred. • High School Diploma or equivalent required. • A valid driver's license is essential, with a clean motor vehicle record. • Preferred experience in foodservice, culinary, restaurant management, or hospitality. • Exceptional oral and written communication skills, coupled with strong presentation capabilities. • Adept at building relationships and initiating cold calls to foster new business opportunities. • Outstanding customer service and interpersonal skills. • A competitive mindset with a determination to exceed goals. • Strong problem-solving skills, along with organization and negotiation abilities. • Team-oriented mentality for effective collaboration with internal and external stakeholders. • Proficient in Microsoft Office and familiar with CRM tools like Salesforce is a plus. • Ability to occasionally lift or carry up to 75 lbs.
