Test Architect – Data Platforms (Snowflake)

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Test Architect with a strong Data Platforms background, particularly in Snowflake, to lead the design and implementation of scalable, data-centric testing frameworks. This role requires a strategic thinker with hands-on expertise in automation, data validation, and CI/CD integration—capable of building robust, audit-ready testing ecosystems for complex data and analytics platforms.

Key Responsibilities

• Architect and implement modular, scalable test automation frameworks for data platforms (Snowflake, ETL/ELT pipelines, APIs)
• Define layered automation strategies with clear separation of test logic, data validation, adapters, and reporting
• Embed automated data, API, and regression testing into CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, Azure DevOps, Git)
• Establish strategies for parallel execution, environment management, and release readiness (N+1 regression)
• Design and implement end-to-end data validation and reconciliation frameworks across ingestion, transformation, and consumption layers
• Ensure data lineage, auditability, and compliance aligned with regulatory and operational requirements
• Integrate and optimize testing toolchains including qTest, Tosca (API/DI), Python utilities, Snowflake, and reporting dashboards
• Drive automation standards, governance, and best practices across teams
• Mentor and enable teams on automation frameworks, tools, and processes
• Align testing strategies with business priorities and delivery timelines, ensuring pragmatic and phased adoption

Required Skills & Experience

• 10+ years of experience in QA/Test Architecture, with a strong focus on data platforms
• Deep expertise in Snowflake and modern data warehousing architectures
• Strong experience with ETL/ELT testing, API testing, and data validation frameworks
• Proven ability to design scalable automation frameworks for data and analytics systems
• Hands-on experience integrating testing into CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, Azure DevOps, Git)
• Proficiency in Python or similar scripting languages for test automation and data validation
• Strong understanding of data quality, reconciliation, lineage, and audit controls
• Experience with tools such as qTest, Tosca (API/DI), or similar enterprise QA platforms
