Test Automation Architect

About

We are seeking an experienced Test Automation Architect to lead the strategy, design, and implementation of enterprise-level test automation solutions supporting a large-scale IV&V program. This role is ideal for a hands-on technical leader passionate about automation, quality engineering, and modern software architecture.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development and execution of test automation strategies across multiple applications and systems
• Design and maintain scalable automation frameworks for UI, API, microservices, and cloud-based applications
• Integrate automated testing into CI/CD and DevSecOps pipelines
• Collaborate with Developers, QA, DevOps, Cybersecurity, and Solution Architecture teams
• Provide mentorship and technical leadership to automation engineers
• Evaluate and implement modern testing tools and AI-driven automation solutions
• Support testing in containerized and cloud environments including AWS and Azure

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field
• 8+ years of experience in test automation
• Strong experience with enterprise automation frameworks and distributed systems
• Proficiency in Java, JavaScript, TypeScript, and/or Python
• Experience with API testing tools such as REST Assured, SOAP UI, and Postman
• Experience supporting CI/CD pipelines and cloud-native applications
• Knowledge of microservices, SOA, event-driven architecture, and secure API testing
• Strong understanding of Git, containerization, and orchestration platforms
• Excellent analytical, communication, and collaboration skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Master’s degree in related field
• Experience with LoadRunner, JMeter, Provar, or AI-driven automation tools
• AWS and/or Azure testing experience
• Relevant automation or software architecture certifications
