As a Test Engineer at Ivy Partners, you will:
- Analyze, review, and evaluate user requirements, specifications, and models for testability
- Create test specifications based on a detailed technical analysis of functional and non-functional requirements (reliability, efficiency, usability, etc.)
- Create test models using appropriate (test) techniques
- Analyze product risk analyses to determine test depth; identify remaining risks after test execution
- Set up the test environment
- Implement the test strategy by applying standardized test methods and tools
- Create the test coverage matrix
- Prepare or request test data
- Automate tests
- Configure, update, maintain, and deploy test tools
- Execute and document tests according to predefined test cases or in an exploratory manner
- Identify, analyze, describe, and isolate defects
- Measure the performance of components and systems
About You
You are our ideal candidate if you:
- Have at least 7 years of experience
- Hold a degree in a relevant field or comparable qualification and experience as a quality engineer
- Are familiar with agile methodologies and have a strong motivation for software quality, continuous testing, and continuous improvement
- Have experience with test automation tools and methods (e.g., Playwright) and software development experience (knowledge of Java, SQL, JavaScript, or Angular is a plus)
- Are familiar with various test methods (automated testing, manual testing, performance testing)
- Have an understanding of CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitLab CI or Azure DevOps) and DevOps principles
- Possess an independent, structured way of working and strong analytical skills for identifying defects, causes, and optimization potential
- Show interest in legal matters (especially retention and data protection)
- Are fluent in German and have very good English skills
