As a Test Engineer Battery & BMS (m/f/d), you will develop and be responsible for test concepts, test scopes, and test execution for battery systems and battery management systems. You will ensure that our components and systems are reliably validated in terms of function, performance, safety, and robustness, working closely with development, system engineering, and other interfaces.

Responsibilities

• Planning, execution, and evaluation of tests on battery modules, battery systems, and BMS components
• Validation of electrical, functional, and safety-relevant properties of battery and BMS systems
• Analysis, documentation, and tracking of error patterns, as well as close coordination with development departments for root cause analysis
• Setup, support, and further development of test benches and test environments for battery and BMS tests
• Ensuring structured test documentation and transparent result preparation
• Collaboration with internal and external test laboratories, as well as support for approval and release tests
• Support for endurance, environmental, abuse, and functional tests to ensure product robustness

Requirements

• Completed engineering degree (e.g., Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Automotive Engineering) or comparable qualification
• First to several years of experience in testing batteries and battery management systems (BMS), as well as a fundamental understanding of these systems
• Good knowledge in creating and executing test cases, evaluating test results, and working with measuring instruments, test benches, and ideally with automated test environments
• Structured, independent, and meticulous way of working
• High team and communication skills, as well as a solution-oriented approach
• Fluent German and English skills, both written and spoken
