For our branch in Allendorf (suburb), we are looking for a Test Engineer Battery System E2E (m/f/d) for the validation of the entire battery system at system level. You will ensure that all components – from battery and BMS to power electronics and connectivity and customer interfaces – function reliably in interaction. You will test end-to-end along real use cases and ensure optimal system performance and user experience.
Responsibilities
- Planning, execution, and evaluation of E2E and system tests for battery systems (e.g., home storage).
- Validation of the interaction of all subsystems such as battery, BMS, inverter, HMI, and cloud connection.
- Testing of customer interfaces such as end-customer app, commissioning app, service tool, and local user interfaces (HMI).
- Execution of use-case-based tests along the entire product lifecycle (installation, commissioning, operation, service).
- Analysis, documentation, and tracking of system errors, as well as close coordination with the respective development teams.
- Ensuring system stability and performance under various operating and environmental conditions.
- Setup and further development of system test environments, as well as support for HiL/SiL approaches.
Requirements
- Completed engineering degree (e.g., Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Mechatronics) or comparable qualification.
- Experience in E2E or system testing of complex, networked systems (e.g., energy systems, automotive, IoT products).
- Understanding of the interaction between hardware, software, and cloud systems.
- Ideally, experience with battery systems, inverters, or comparable energy systems, as well as communication protocols and interfaces (e.g., CAN, Ethernet, TCP/IP, WiFi).
- Structured, analytical, and independent way of working.
- High team and communication skills in an interdisciplinary environment.
- Fluent German and English skills, both written and spoken.
