About Us

Siemens Healthineers stands for the pioneering spirit of our employees, combined with our long tradition as a globally leading technology group in the ever-dynamic healthcare industry.

We offer a flexible and dynamic environment full of opportunities to grow beyond yourself, to develop personally and professionally. Does that sound interesting to you?

Then become part of our global team as a Test Engineer (w/m/d) to sustainably ensure the high quality of our Siemens Healthineers Computed Tomography systems through systematic software and system tests.

Choose the best place for your work - within the scope of this position, it is possible to work remotely (within Germany) for up to an average of 60% of your working time, in agreement with your manager.

Even more flexibility? Mobile working from abroad is possible under certain conditions and in selected countries for up to 30 days a year.

Your Tasks and Responsibilities

  • You create and maintain test specifications based on functional and non-functional requirements for software and system components of CT systems (Computed Tomography).
  • You implement and perform manual software and system tests with the appropriate experience, review requirement specifications, and ensure traceable documentation of test results.
  • You analyze requirements at an early stage and ensure their complete testability in close exchange with development and product management.
  • You perform system tests of a defined product or functional area within computed tomography.
  • You analyze, document, and track errors in a structured manner and actively contribute to sustainable quality improvement.
  • You work as a Test Engineer in interdisciplinary, international, and agile teams and contribute to the continuous improvement of test processes and workflows, including the use of modern technologies such as AI-supported test tools.

Your Qualifications and Experience

  • You have successfully completed a Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology, Computer Science, Natural Sciences, or a comparable field and have several years of professional experience in software/system testing or quality assurance.
  • Alternatively, you have a Master's degree with initial relevant professional experience in this area.
  • You have knowledge of test methods, test procedures, and test tools and are ideally certified, e.g., as an ISTQB Certified Tester.
  • You ideally have experience and knowledge of structured test approaches such as Keyword Driven Testing (KDT) and initial exposure to testing AI-based systems or using AI in the test environment.
  • You have preferably worked in agile development projects and are familiar with the requirements for software quality in regulated environments, ideally in medical technology.

Your Profile and Skills

  • For collaboration with international locations and for formulating requirements, test specifications, and error descriptions, you have excellent English skills. Good German skills are desirable for collaboration with your local colleagues in Forchheim.
  • You work in a structured, analytical, and self-reliant manner and maintain an overview even with complex system interdependencies.
  • You have a high awareness of quality and consistently implement it in your daily testing and analysis work.
  • "We win together": You enjoy working in a team, communicate clearly in interdisciplinary collaboration, and actively contribute to agile working methods.
  • You are flexible and organize your tasks reliably and results-oriented.
