About the role

We are looking for a Test Engineer to join an international team working on innovative smartphone and smart device technologies. In this role, you will focus on operator certification testing and user experience validation across European markets, ensuring high product quality and seamless performance across different network environments.

This is a great opportunity for someone with a background in mobile testing, telecom protocols and device validation, who enjoys working in an international, cross-functional environment.

Location: Düsseldorf, Germany (on-site)

Start date: From May 2026

Duration: Minimum 12 months

What you will do: • Perform operator certification testing for smartphones and tablets across European networks • Execute user experience testing aligned with local usage and cultural expectations • Design and implement test cases and test plans based on operator requirements • Set up and manage testing environments (devices, tools, network configurations) • Analyze issues, drive root cause analysis and collaborate on solutions • Work closely with R&D, product and project teams to ensure timely delivery • Communicate with European operator partners and provide regular updates • Stay up to date with latest technologies and testing methodologies

What we’re looking for: • 2+ years of experience in mobile software testing/telecom testing • Degree in Telecommunications, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or similar • Knowledge of wireless communication protocols (e.g. LTE, 5G NR, UMTS) • Familiarity with Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, NFC • Experience with log analysis tools (e.g. QXDM, Wireshark, TEMS, XCAL) • Understanding of SDLC and Agile methodologies • Experience with bug tracking tools (JIRA, Bugzilla, etc.) • Basic programming/scripting skills (e.g. Python, JavaScript, C++) • Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills • Good English communication skills

Nice to have: • Experience with chipset platforms (e.g. Qualcomm, MTK) • Previous experience in operator certification or device testing • Additional European language skills
