At LMI, we are seeking a Technology Test Engineer to spearhead the planning and implementation of test and evaluation projects for our Department of Homeland Security clients. This position will entail assessing a variety of technologies that bolster first responder and homeland security efforts. We are located in the New York City area and this role requires the ability to obtain a Secret clearance. Your responsibilities are:

• Lead the planning and execution of testing activities to evaluate commercially available technologies for emergency response and homeland security
• Collaborate with customers to define and understand operational needs and determine the testing requirements
• Organize work elements, facilities, equipment, and other resources necessary for testing
• Create test planning documentation, including protocols, assessment plans, and operational scenarios
• Oversee projects from inception to conclusion, ensuring timely delivery and quality compliance
• Execute testing (both lab and field), along with data collection and analysis
• Compose test reports that summarize findings, conclusions, and recommendations regarding the suitability or use of the tested products or systems

Requirements:

• Bachelors Degree in Engineering; Masters degree preferred
• Over 10 years of relevant engineering and technical experience
• Proven analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong collaboration abilities with internal and external stakeholders
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Team-oriented with a focus on customer service
• Willingness to travel occasionally to various test locations
• Capability to pass a DHS background check and secure a Secret clearance
