Test Engineering & Operations Manager

Responsibilities • Develop and maintain the quarterly and annual Test-Engineering operating plan (headcount, equipment, budget, and capacity forecasts). • Lead the recruitment, onboarding, and career-development roadmap for the test-engineering team (engineers, technicians, planners, and admin staff). • Coordinate cross-functional Test-Ready reviews (Design-to-Test, Test-Plan, Test-Readiness, Release-Gate) and track action-item closure across mechanical, electrical, software, and systems groups • Run weekly “Test Ops Stand-up” and monthly “Continuous-Improvement Review” with all test-lab leads; capture lessons learned and feed them into the Process-Improvement backlog • Maintain the test-lab health-and-safety program (PPE, hazardous-materials handling, emergency-response drills) and ensure zero-incident record. • Create and manage the Test-Engineering training matrix (certifications, equipment-specific training, safety modules) and track compliance for 100 % of staff.
