Richmond based manufacturer looking for Test Engineers/Technicians immediately for long term employment. A diverse technical understanding, and the hands on skills, that will allow them to recognize system application and validate the performance requirement of our product lines. The candidate must be self-motivated, company oriented and able to apply common technology to a variety of applications. Eager to absorb more knowledge with every new experience.
Since 1965, PS&C has continually developed new designs, manufactured equipment and serviced power quality needs around the world from our factory and testing facility in the Richmond VA area. We specialize in Frequency Conversion, Uninterruptible Power Supplies, Voltage Regulation, Power Conditioning, Electrical Isolation, Inverters, and Power Factor Correction utilizing both static and rotary topology. We build tactical enclosures for data centers, power systems and work spaces to include ballistic reinforced and radio frequency shielding. Our company is Employee Owned and looking for Associates with long-term expectations.

Requirements
- Must be a U.S. citizen
- Detail oriented in communication and documentation
- Able to read all manner of electrical schematics
- Knowledgeable in test metering and monitoring equipment to include (not limited to) oscilloscopes, power analyzers and meters for electrical and mechanical measurements
- Candidate must have 10 years of electrical, electronic, and control systems experience
- Experienced in 3 phase power
Responsibilities
The Test Department falls under the Field Service Division of PS&C. An experienced Test Engineer/ Technician will work independently at the PS&C Henrico, VA facility, supported by all of the Field Service Technicians not deployed to the field. The Test Engineer/Technicians responsibilities will include:
- Review and implement test procedures for every product and product feature
- Connect power, communication and control test cables as needed|
- Set up, operate and analyze the data collected from various test analyzers and meters
- Maintain test department equipment at 100% capability
- Maintaining delivery targets by adjusting personal work schedules and priorities as needed
Values, Experience, & Skills
- USG Clearance (S or TS)
- Engineering/Electronics degree
- AutoCAD experience
- Licensed Electrician
- PLC programming
- Electronics and circuit board troubleshooting
- Motor and electric generator experience
- Variable Frequency Drives (VFD)
- Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC)
- Relay logic
- Reading and troubleshooting from electrical schematics
- RF shielding test and repair
