Job Summary

Aretum is seeking a skilled and highly motivated Test / QA Engineer. As a Test / QA Engineer, you will validate system functionality, data accuracy, and integration performance. Due to the nature of our work as a federal consulting organization, employees may be expected to handle Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI) and must adhere to applicable safeguarding and compliance requirements.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute test plans across system components
• Validate data pipelines and risk scoring outputs
• Test APIs and integrations
• Support UAT with stakeholders
• Automate regression testing where feasible

Testing Types

• Functional, integration, regression, UAT support

API Testing

• Postman, REST clients, automated API validation

Data Validation

• SQL queries, dataset comparison, reconciliation checks

Test Automation

• Basic scripting (Python/JavaScript), test frameworks

Defect Tracking

• Jira or similar tools

Test Case Design

• Requirements traceability, edge case identification

Performance Testing (Basic)

• Load testing concepts, response validation

CI/CD Integration

• Running tests in pipelines

Documentation

• Test plans, test cases, defect reports

Basic Understanding of Healthcare Data

• Enough to validate outputs logically

Collaboration

• Working with engineers to isolate and reproduce issues

Travel Requirements

This is a remote position; however, occasional travel may be required based on project needs, client meetings, team collaboration events, or training sessions. Travel is expected to be less than 10% and will be communicated in advance whenever possible.
