Job Summary
Aretum is seeking a skilled and highly motivated Test / QA Engineer. As a Test / QA Engineer, you will validate system functionality, data accuracy, and integration performance. Due to the nature of our work as a federal consulting organization, employees may be expected to handle Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI) and must adhere to applicable safeguarding and compliance requirements.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute test plans across system components
- Validate data pipelines and risk scoring outputs
- Test APIs and integrations
- Support UAT with stakeholders
- Automate regression testing where feasible
Testing Types
- Functional, integration, regression, UAT support
API Testing
- Postman, REST clients, automated API validation
Data Validation
- SQL queries, dataset comparison, reconciliation checks
Test Automation
- Basic scripting (Python/JavaScript), test frameworks
Defect Tracking
- Jira or similar tools
Test Case Design
- Requirements traceability, edge case identification
Performance Testing (Basic)
- Load testing concepts, response validation
CI/CD Integration
- Running tests in pipelines
Documentation
- Test plans, test cases, defect reports
Basic Understanding of Healthcare Data
- Enough to validate outputs logically
Collaboration
- Working with engineers to isolate and reproduce issues
Travel Requirements
This is a remote position; however, occasional travel may be required based on project needs, client meetings, team collaboration events, or training sessions. Travel is expected to be less than 10% and will be communicated in advance whenever possible.
