• You will be responsible for the implementation and execution of automated software tests for a fire-smoke system, ensuring the quality and reliability of the software.
• Based on existing software requirements, you will independently define test cases and continuously check test coverage in the IBM Rational DOORS requirement management tool.
• You will develop and maintain test scripts in Python and in the VectorCAST/C++ tool, performing both low-level and hardware/software integration tests (high-level tests).
• Furthermore, you will work with various interfaces such as digital and analog I/Os, CAN bus, RS232, and SPI, taking them into account in your test strategies.
• You will carefully document the test results and make a significant contribution to compliance with quality standards through your work, especially in the context of aviation-specific requirements.

What you bring:

• You have a degree (at least Bachelor's) in electrical engineering, electronics, or a comparable field.
• You also have at least three years of professional experience in development and in electrical or electronics engineering, with sound knowledge in functional testing of embedded systems.
• Ideally, you have experience with aviation standards in software development and software testing.
• You have in-depth knowledge of Python and experience with IBM Rational DOORS, and ideally experience with the C programming language and VectorCAST/C++.
• Your profile is rounded off by confident German and English language skills, enabling you to communicate effectively in an international environment.
