- The DNA Group is seeking a UI/UX Project Lead (PeopleSoft) to support digital hiring experience transformation initiatives for the District of Columbia.
- In this role, you will lead end-to-end UX/UI design efforts to improve hiring processes and systems for both internal and external users.
- You will collaborate with cross‑functional teams including developers, PeopleSoft experts, and government stakeholders to design, test, and implement user‑centered solutions.
- This role requires strong project management, human‑centered design expertise, and the ability to drive large‑scale digital transformation initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end UX/UI design and implementation for digital hiring experience improvements.
- Support large‑scale transformation initiatives involving multiple stakeholders, agencies, and departments.
- Utilize existing research and gather new data to inform system redesign and improvements.
- Facilitate cross‑departmental workshops to map business processes and align with user needs and system capabilities.
- Conduct usability testing to identify pain points for job applicants and hiring staff.
- Create site maps, flow diagrams, storyboards, and wireframes to improve user experience and information architecture.
- Collaborate with PeopleSoft experts to prioritize and implement system enhancements.
- Apply UI style guides to create visual designs and ensure consistency across platforms.
- Lead implementation of UX/UI improvements in collaboration with OCTO and HR stakeholders.
- Monitor performance metrics and help achieve defined impact targets.
- Support development and implementation of digital service delivery improvements.
- Communicate complex UX concepts clearly to technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
- Develop and present documentation, visual designs, and project updates.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in User Experience, Design, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- 10+ years of professional experience in UX/UI design, human‑centered design, or digital product development.
- Strong expertise in UX research, prototyping, testing, and iterative design.
- Experience managing complex digital design and implementation projects, preferably in a government environment.
- Strong project management, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Proficiency with design and collaboration tools such as Figma, Miro, Adobe tools, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Familiarity with PeopleSoft systems.
- Familiarity with HTML.
