As a
- Thermal Engineer
your mission is to
- design, optimize, and validate innovative thermal management solutions

You’ll work in
- cross‑functional teams
to integrate thermal solutions into the full system design, contributing directly to improvements in product efficiency and competitiveness.
What you’ll do
You’ll be at the forefront of thermal performance validation and optimization. You set up and execute thermal tests that validate requirements while balancing
- resources and time constraints
You’ll also collaborate with a broad range of stakeholders to align on practical, win‑win approaches.
Key Responsibilities
- Translate specifications into a design approach, including
- test strategy and required equipment
- Perform
- thermal analysis and testing, monitor system performance, and identify improvement opportunities
- Execute thermal tests in a lab environment, including (but not limited to):
- working with thermal chambers and thermocouples
- setting up data collection and instrumentation
- testing in flow conditions with gases and liquids at room temperature
- Provide ongoing technical support and troubleshooting
- Document and report study, design, and test activities in structured technical documentation

What We’re Looking For
Background
- MSc or PhD in Physics, Mechanical Engineering, or similar
- 5+ years of relevant experience in thermal engineering
- Strong expertise in thermal testing for validation and qualification
- Affinity with thermal simulations, preferably including high‑vacuum conditions
- Hands‑on, experimental mindset and eager to learn across physics domains

- Innovation‑driven; able to improve processes and methods
- Self‑propelled experimentalist who asks the next question
- Strong time management and prioritization skills
- Team player: analytical, pragmatic, creative, proactive
- Clear communicator; fluent in English (Dutch is a plus)
