About the Role
We are seeking a highly organized and hands‑on Tool Crib Manager to oversee our tool crib operations at our Brampton shop and supporting our field operations team. This role is responsible for managing inventory, coordinating equipment repairs, supporting field teams with tool and consumable orders, and ensuring operational efficiency across projects.
This position is ideal for someone with strong construction industry experience who enjoys logistics, organization, and supporting field operations in a fast‑paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain Tool Crib inventory, ensuring accuracy and proper stock levels
- Inspect tools and equipment to ensure they are in safe, working condition
- Log equipment repairs and track items back into inventory
- Prepare and coordinate tool and consumable orders for field teams
- Deliver and pick up tools and consumables from project sites as needed
- Conduct regular inventory audits and place replenishment orders
- Support shop‑related logistics and production activities
- Lead training initiatives for field teams on ordering tools using iPhone/iPad platforms
Qualifications & Experience
Required
- Minimum 5 years of experience in construction or fabrication, with strong knowledge of tools and equipment
- Experience operating manufacturing equipment (e.g., forklifts, overhead cranes, shunt trucks)
- Valid G driver’s license with ability to travel locally to project sites
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem‑solving skills
- Experience using iPad/iPhone technology and willingness to adopt new systems
- Ability to handle equipment up to 50 lbs
- Strong time management skills with the ability to adapt to changing schedules
Preferred
- Post‑secondary education
- Experience managing tools or equipment in a construction or fabrication environment
- Familiarity with scheduling or resource management tools
- Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities
