Tool Room Lead-1st Shift

Job Details

1st Shift 7 am-3:30 pm

MAJOR TASKS – RESPONSIBILITIES

• Perform preventive maintenance of all tools.
• Set up and run Bridgeport's, lathers, and surface grinders as needed.
• Clean the tool surfaces with the approved products.
• Knowledge of micrometers, calipers, indicators, optical comparators, ring and thread gauges.
• Inspect for, and document, any defects or damage identified.
• Use the Cold Jet tool cleaning system when applicable.
• Support production departments in repairing, adjusting and maintaining all forms of equipment.
• Clear all waste and cleaning products when complete.
• Wipe any grease, oil, dirt, etc. generated during the PM from machine surfaces. and any assignment as directed per management, within the scope of personal capabilities.

PERSONNEL CHARACTERISTICS

• Demonstrated ability to write legibly, to maintain records, and follow oral and written instructions.
• Knowledge of occupational hazards and safety precautions.
• Experience in advanced shop mathematics, drawings for part specifications, charts, tables, and all varieties of precision measuring instruments.
• Ability to communicate in English effectively, both orally and in writing and able to establish and maintain effective working relationships at all levels.
• Understanding of basic computer programs.
• Comfortable in the use of walkies and sit down forklift.
• Training to be provided if necessary and able to lift up to 50 lbs. frequently.
• Physically capable to assist with the moving and handling of tooling components.

• Works according to priorities set by the Maintenance Manager and / or Tool Room Lead.
• Complies with the regulations and guidelines of conduct in place at Mayzon, and meets the requirements of safety, hygiene and quality of Mayzon.
