Our client, a Tier 1 Canadian Manufacturer in the automotive industry, is looking to hire an experienced Tooling Supervisor for their North End GTA Plant.

Responsibilities

• Supervise tool setup for product changes
• Oversees the maintenance and repair of dies, jigs, tools etc
• Manage day to day tooling operations
• Troubleshooting, root cause analysis and problem resolution for issues on the line
• Estimations for design, build and setup for manufacture of new components
• Support and direct the tooling team

Qualifications

• Tool and Die Certified or relevant post secondary education
• Min of 8 years experience in stamping / tool and die roles
• Strong background in metal stamping, including manual, progressive, and transfer dies and welding
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in automotive manufacturing
• Experienced with maintenance of metal stamping and welding equipment
