We are seeking a strategic, hands-on, and commercially driven Trade Marketing Manager to join our growing team in Florham Park, NJ. This role will play a critical part in driving product visibility, supporting sales growth, and executing successful go-to-market strategies across retail and foodservice channels.

Key Responsibilities

Product Lifecycle Management

  • Lead the end-to-end product development and commercialization process, from concept through launch.
  • Manage packaging updates, SKU setup, product revisions, and launch timelines.

Go-to-Market Strategy

  • Develop and execute strategic go-to-market plans aligned with business objectives.
  • Ensure proper product positioning, messaging, and target audience alignment.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner closely with Sales, Marketing, R&D, Operations, and Supply Chain teams to drive successful product launches and initiatives.
  • Coordinate internal communications and launch readiness across departments.

Market & Consumer Insights

  • Monitor industry trends, competitive activity, and consumer insights within the bakery, retail, and foodservice sectors.
  • Translate insights into actionable opportunities for innovation and growth.

Retail & Distributor Engagement

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with retailers, distributors, and brokers.
  • Support product placement, merchandising, promotional execution, and brand visibility.

Promotions & Trade Marketing

  • Lead trade marketing campaigns and in-store promotional initiatives designed to drive sales and strengthen brand presence.
  • Support category management and merchandising initiatives.

Financial & Performance Analysis

  • Conduct financial analysis and assess product profitability.
  • Track and measure trade marketing effectiveness, recommending adjustments based on performance and market feedback.

Competitive Intelligence

  • Gather and share market intelligence and competitive insights to help refine commercial strategies and identify opportunities for differentiation.

Team Leadership & Development

  • Mentor and support team members, fostering collaboration, accountability, and professional growth.

Qualifications

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Minimum of 5 years of marketing or trade marketing experience within consumer-packaged goods (CPG), food manufacturing, or related industries.
  • Experience within bakery, foodservice, or retail food categories strongly preferred.

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong understanding of retail and food service channels.
  • Experience with trade promotions, merchandising, and category management.
  • Strong analytical and financial acumen with the ability to interpret market trends and data.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven ability to collaborate cross-functionally and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
  • Bilingual skills are a plus.
