Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented Financial Analyst II to support trade settlements and transaction processing within a fast-paced financial services environment. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of the trade lifecycle, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to collaborate with global teams to ensure timely and accurate transaction settlement.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and manage trade settlements before, on, and after contractual settlement dates
- Troubleshoot and resolve trade failures with clients, counterparties, and depositories
- Process daily transactional instructions within strict deadlines
- Ensure adherence to Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and operational procedures
- Investigate and resolve cash and stock breaks
- Manage inquiries and provide timely resolutions
- Identify and escalate potential risks (financial, regulatory, reputational)
- Review OFAC/sanctions-related transaction blocks and ensure compliance
- Collaborate with internal teams, clients, and IT to improve processes and efficiency
- Participate in system testing (UAT), audits, asset migrations, and business continuity efforts
- Contribute to reporting, client communication, and service improvements
- Cross-train with global teams to support seamless operations
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree (Finance, Accounting, or related field preferred)
- Experience in financial services (bank, broker, custodian, or service provider)
- Strong understanding of trade lifecycle and settlement processes
- Minimum 1+ year experience as a Fed direct participant
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of SWIFT messaging (securities, cash, FX)
- Experience with Fedwire or CHIPS payments
- Familiarity with DTC or global depositories (ICSD)
- Experience supporting global agent networks
- Exposure to project lifecycle, UAT, and reporting
