Our Challenge
We are seeking a knowledgeable and detail‑oriented Trade Surveillance Business Analyst with expertise in Foreign Exchange (FX) trading and Onetick surveillance platform. The ideal candidate will be responsible for analyzing trading activities, identifying potential violations, and enhancing the surveillance processes to ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
Additional Information
- The base salary for this position will vary based on geography and other factors.
- In accordance with law, the base salary for this role if filled within Iselin, NJ is $65/hr – $70/hr & benefits (see below).
Role
Responsibilities
- Act as the primary liaison between business, technology, and compliance teams for FX trade surveillance initiatives.
- Gather, analyze, and document business requirements related to FX trading and surveillance processes.
- Develop and refine surveillance rules and alerts on the Onetick platform to identify suspicious trading activities.
- Conduct detailed analysis of trading data and patterns to differentiate between legitimate trading activities and potential misconduct.
- Support the implementation of new surveillance tools and enhancements to existing systems.
- Collaborate with IT and vendor teams to troubleshoot issues and optimize the surveillance platform.
- Assist in audit and regulatory reviews by providing relevant documentation and insights.
- Stay updated on regulatory requirements affecting FX trading and surveillance practices.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Business Analyst in Trade Surveillance, specifically with FX trading.
- Hands‑on experience with the Onetick surveillance platform is highly preferred.
- Strong understanding of FX markets, products, and trading strategies.
- In‑depth knowledge of trade surveillance rules, frameworks, and regulatory expectations.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret large datasets and identify patterns.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast‑paced environment.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Information Technology, or related field; additional certifications are a plus.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with other surveillance tools or market abuse detection systems.
- Knowledge of regulatory standards such as CFTC, FINRA, and BCBS239.
- Experience in data analysis, SQL, or scripting for data queries.
