Heartline Staffing, in partnership with Purple Cow Recruiting, is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse Case Manager for a travel assignment at a Magnet‑designated acute care hospital in Anchorage, Alaska. This role supports inpatient case management services focused on discharge planning, care coordination, and utilization review within a high‑volume acute care environment.

Position Overview

This assignment is ideal for RN Case Managers with strong acute care experience who are comfortable managing high patient volumes and coordinating multidisciplinary care across complex patient populations.

Assignment Details

  • 13‑week contract
  • Day shift 5x8s
  • Shift range: 07:00‑17:00 (varies)
  • Monday‑Friday with weekend rotation (every other)
  • Floating required within case management services
  • No call required

Compensation

Because travel rates change frequently based on market demand and facility needs, our recruiters provide the most current and competitive pay packages during your initial conversation. Each compensation package is customized and may include taxable hourly wages along with tax‑free stipends when applicable.

Clinical Responsibilities

  • Coordinate discharge planning and patient transitions of care
  • Perform patient assessments and develop care plans
  • Collaborate with physicians, social work, and interdisciplinary teams
  • Utilize Milliman guidelines and regulatory standards
  • Coordinate DME and post‑acute care services
  • Ensure CMS and HIPAA compliance
  • Document in Epic EMR

Requirements

  • Acute care hospital RN experience REQUIRED (HARD STOP) :contentReference[oaicite:4]index=4
  • Case Management experience REQUIRED :contentReference[oaicite:5]index=5
  • Epic charting experience REQUIRED (HARD STOP) :contentReference[oaicite:6]index=6
  • Active Alaska RN license REQUIRED at submission (Auto Offer requirement) :contentReference[oaicite:7]index=7
  • BLS certification preferred :contentReference[oaicite:8]index=8
  • Ability to manage high caseload (approx. 1:50)
  • Must be willing to float within case management services

  • RTO limited to 1 request (max 5 days)
  • Must be willing to work weekends as required
