UA Analyst – Mgmt Liability PNP

Zurich North America is currently hiring a UA Analyst – Mgmt Liability PNP to join the Financial Lines – Private Not for Profit team! The position can be based in Atlanta, Baltimore, Texas, Boston, or Los Angeles with a hybrid work schedule (three days per week in the office). You will partner with your manager to set a flexible work schedule that supports you, our customers, and our brokers and agents. As a UA Analyst, you will support and work closely with experienced Underwriters in the review and analysis of risks, applying and honing your research and analytical skills to effectively assess risk and grow your career.

Responsibilities

• Review, evaluate, and analyze risk exposures, controls, loss history, financial condition and recommend or execute underwriting decisions around submission acceptance or declination within established risk appetite.
• Anticipate underwriting exposure information needs and proactively seek out alternative, relevant data sources using underwriting tools to improve understanding of risks.
• Analyze and recommend input in areas of policy rating, subjective pricing, policy construction, coverages and exclusions, mandatory forms, etc., needed to accurately quote and/or renew policies (bonds).
• Develop and execute account servicing solutions independently and in collaboration with Underwriter, with responsibility for end‑to‑end servicing processes for new business, renewals, and endorsements for more complex business accounts.
• Drive broker/agent/distributor/customer interactions and on‑site calls related to account servicing matters with a planned and well‑prepared purpose; build strong working relationships outside the team and with broker counterparts.
• Develop new team members and provide support and coaching to peers, based on quality results.
• Provide coaching and problem solving for complex transactions/issues while educating peers on the context behind the solution.
• Complete monthly peer reviews.
• Provide training on important updates and new processes.
• Act as a line of business subject matter expert.
• Generate reports.
• Support special projects as assigned.

Basic Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree and 2 + years of experience in Insurance, Underwriting, or Market‑Facing area OR
• Zurich Certified Insurance Apprentice, including Associate Degree and 2 + years of experience in Insurance, Underwriting, or Market‑Facing area OR
• High School Diploma or equivalent and 4 + years of experience in Insurance, Underwriting, or Market‑Facing area.
• Knowledge of the insurance industry and the legal and regulatory environment.
• Experience with data collection and analysis.
• Experience with processing, rating, and policy management systems used in the insurance industry.
• Customer service experience.
• Problem‑solving experience.
• Experience servicing product portfolios for multiple lines of business for insurance.
• Microsoft Office experience.

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of underwriting philosophy and techniques.
• Knowledge of national and local insurance filing regulations and guidelines.
• Knowledge of international insurance programs.

Compensation

• Salary range: $54,500 – $89,200 (national average; may vary by location).
• Short‑term incentive bonus eligibility: 10%.
• Eligibility for bonuses and merit increases.
