About

RCT is seeking an experienced UI/UX Engineer to support high-visibility government applications focused on entitlement systems, identity and access management (IdAM/ICAM), authentication, authorization, and digital policy management. This role bridges design, development, and deployment, delivering secure, accessible, and high‑performance web experiences for both administrators and end users.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain custom WordPress themes and plugins
  • Build accessible, user‑centered front‑end and back‑end solutions
  • Optimize website performance, databases, and server integrations
  • Conduct performance testing, QA, and ongoing monitoring
  • Collaborate in an agile, cross‑functional environment
  • Troubleshoot production issues and improve UX/UI continuously

Required Qualifications

  • BS degree with 8–12 years of relevant experience
  • TS/SCI with polygraph
  • Strong knowledge of usability and accessibility across devices
  • Front‑end: HTML5, CSS/SASS, JavaScript
  • Back‑end: PHP, MySQL, WP REST API, JSON
  • Experience developing custom WordPress features, plugins, unit tests, and accessibility‑compliant solutions

Preferred

  • AWS certification
