This role requires a skilled Mine Engineering Technician to support ground control and mining planning activities. As part of the Engineering team, you will excel in scheduling, drafting, and comprehensive data collection. You will collaborate closely with specialists to maintain safety and compliance within the dynamic environment of an underground mining operation.
Key Responsibilities
- Install and maintain rock mechanics instrumentation
- Analyze daily and monthly rock mechanics data
- Conduct inspections and assist with rehabilitation
- Perform geologic mapping of underground openings
- Execute ground-penetrating radar surveys and analysis
Requirements
- Diploma in Mine Engineering Technology or equivalent
- 3–5 years preferred mining experience
- Experience in underground soft rock mining is advantageous
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and AutoCAD
- Willingness to work at heights and underground
