Personal Lines Underwriter

A well-established company in the East Rand is seeking a Personal Lines Underwriter to join their dynamic team.

Minimum Requirements

• Matric (Required)
• 5+ years’ Personal Lines Underwriting experience
• Strong underwriting and risk assessment skills
• Experience working on a Hollard Binder
• Cardinal 360 experience (Essential)
• Knowledge of short-term insurance practices
• Strong communication, analytical and organisational skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
• Ability to work independently and within a team

Key Duties & Responsibilities

• Prepare insurance quotations and assess risks
• Determine premiums based on client profiles
• Manage renewals, retentions, cancellations, and policy amendments
• Handle post-loss corrective actions and insurance documentation
• Liaise with clients regarding inventories and policy matters
• Maintain accurate client and policy records
• Build relationships with brokers, clients, insurers and service providers
• Ensure compliance with underwriting standards and regulations
• Assist the Personal Lines team with daily workload management
• Administer TIG products within client portfolios
