About
As a working student in Unity Game Development in Herzogenrath, you will be part of a creative development team that creates innovative games and interactive applications for various platforms. You support the implementation of game mechanics and the optimization of graphic components. Responsibilities
- Implement game mechanics and features according to given concepts.
- Develop and optimize C# scripts for various game components.
- Integrate 3D models, animations, and audio assets into the Unity environment.
- Implement UI elements and menus according to design specifications.
- Implement particle systems and visual effects.
- Conduct regular tests, identify bugs, and optimize application performance.
- Collaborate closely with game designers and 3D artists to create a coherent player experience.
- Support documentation of code and game systems.
- Assist in creating prototypes for new game concepts and mechanics.
- Occasionally assist with integration of analytics tools to collect and analyze player data.
- Support preparation of builds for various platforms and fix platform-specific issues.
- Participate in internal playtests and provide feedback on player experience.
Requirements
- Currently studying computer science, media informatics, game development, or a comparable degree program, ideally in the 3rd semester or higher.
- Good knowledge of C# and the Unity engine, demonstrable through personal or university projects.
- Basic knowledge of 3D mathematics (vectors, matrices, quaternions).
- Basic understanding of game design principles and game loops.
- Initial experience with version control systems such as Git.
- Basic knowledge of shader programming is an advantage.
- Good German and English language skills.
Working Hours
- 16-20 hours per week during the semester, flexibly scheduled.
- Up to 35 hours during semester breaks.
- Hybrid work model with 2 presence days per week in Herzogenrath.
