About

The University Recruiter is responsible for managing university recruiting activity across Canadian co‑op and internship programs. This role serves as the primary point of contact for university co‑op and employer relations offices while working closely with internal hiring managers to deliver a reliable, conversion‑focused early‑career program.

Responsibilities

  • Manage end‑to‑end recruiting for Canadian co‑op and early‑career roles, including intake, postings, interview coordination, offers, onboarding, evaluations, and off‑boarding.
  • Act as the primary liaison with university co‑op and employer relations offices, ensuring posting requirements, timelines, and program guidelines are met.
  • Post roles to university job boards and recruiting systems, ensuring alignment with academic and program requirements.
  • Coordinate and track work term evaluations, documentation, and reporting required for co‑op participation.
  • Partner with hiring managers to support repeat hiring and return placements across multiple work terms.
  • Support campus recruiting activities such as info sessions, interviews, and relationship‑building meetings, in collaboration with technical leaders.
  • Maintain accurate records in applicant tracking and internal systems.
  • Communicate clearly and consistently with students, hiring teams, and university partners to manage expectations and deadlines.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
  • 3+ years of experience in university or early‑career recruiting, or equivalent experience in co‑op program administration, employer relations, or a related field.
  • Direct experience working with universities, career services, or co‑op offices.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines and stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with co‑op job boards, ranking systems, and employer reporting processes.
  • Willingness and ability to travel within Canada during peak recruiting periods.

Preferred

  • Experience using applicant tracking or recruiting systems (Workday preferred).
  • Exposure to technical or engineering early‑career hiring.
