Financial Reporting Analyst

Job Description

ProRecruiters is seeking a Financial Reporting Analyst to join a growing and dynamic team!

• Analyze and/or prepare journal entries, reports, budgets, and records related to financial accounting, gas accounting, or economic forecasting/budgeting.
• Perform calculations and/or analyses, including but not limited to: Interest, Cash flow, Financial ratios, Pressure base/Btu conversions, Discounts. Variances, Depreciations (book/tax), and Projections/forecasts.
• Assist in the development and maintenance of applicable spreadsheet models and/or distributed applications, such as those used in finance and other accounting activities.
• Compile, verify, and/or prepare financial information, including but not limited to: Forecasted versus actual expenses, Governmental/regulatory reports, Invoices, Financial reports, Reconciliation reports, and Quarterly income statements.

Position Requirements

• Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles, methods, and procedures.
• Experience performing intermediate accounting functions, including financial, property, account classification, or gas accounting.
• Proficiency with office equipment, computers, and relevant software.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience researching, reconciling, and preparing reports, invoices, studies, and correspondence.
• Ability to read and interpret reports, contracts, ledgers, manuals, legal documents, and financial statements.
• Ability to present information clearly to individuals and groups.
• Strong math, algebra, and statistical skills.
