About the role

Responsibilities

  • Manage relationships with project stakeholders including clients, sponsors, team members, and vendors, ensuring clear communication.
  • Estimate and manage project budgets and resources, tracking actual expenditure against forecasts and implementing corrective actions.
  • Conduct project closure activities including lessons learned sessions, final reporting, and handover of deliverables to operations.
  • Manage project changes through a formal change control process, assessing impact on scope, schedule, and budget before approval.
  • Identify, assess, and manage project risks and issues, maintaining registers and implementing mitigation and contingency plans.
  • Lead and motivate project teams to achieve objectives, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.

Requirements

  • Strong understanding of both waterfall and agile project management methodologies with ability to apply the appropriate approach.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills to motivate and direct cross-functional project teams.
  • Strong financial acumen including experience in budgeting, cost control, and financial reporting for projects.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills with ability to make sound judgements under pressure.
  • A minimum of five to seven years of experience in managing projects of increasing complexity in the relevant industry sector.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Project Management or Business Administration

Additional Information

  • JBCC or FIDIC contract experience is desirable.
