What you'll do:
- Work collaboratively with product managers, engineers, and researchers to enhance product experiences.
- Convert user needs and business goals into intuitive, elegant design solutions.
- Develop wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs that effectively communicate concepts across teams.
- Contribute to our design system, ensuring consistency and scalability across products.
- Partner with researchers and data analysts to understand user behavior and validate design choices.
- Champion accessibility and inclusive design throughout every project.
- Clearly present your design work and rationale to cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
What you bring:
- A minimum of 3 years of professional experience in UX or product design.
- A background in designing sophisticated digital products, particularly for large user bases or enterprise contexts.
- A strong portfolio that showcases problem-solving skills, product thinking, and design execution.
- Proficiency in industry-standard design tools (Figma preferred).
- The ability to balance user needs, business goals, and technical feasibility.
- Experience working with and contributing to design systems.
- Exceptional collaboration and communication skills.
Nice to have:
- Experience in education technology or mission-driven products.
- Familiarity with AI-powered tools and workflows.
- Previous employment at a large product-focused tech company.

Compensation
At Cengage Group, we pride ourselves on offering a comprehensive Total Rewards package that supports and empowers our employees. The full base pay range for this position is $67,000.00 - $87,100.00 USD, varying based on qualifications, experience, and location. Additionally, this position is eligible for a discretionary incentive bonus program with an annual target of 5%.
