UI/UX Designer (Machine Display)

We're looking for a UI/UX Designer to design intuitive, user-centered interfaces for next-generation machine displays used on heavy construction equipment. This is a rare opportunity to design with real impact, your work directly influences how operators control heavy machinery, improving safety, reducing fatigue, and increasing jobsite efficiency.

What you’ll be doing:

• Analyze how operators interact with construction equipment in real-world environments
• Develop UI concept layouts tailored to available display screen sizes and customer needs
• Build high-fidelity interactive prototypes in Figma for internal user reviews
• Conduct virtual and real-world user testing; use qualitative and quantitative data to refine designs
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Engineering, Product, Enterprise UI) to deliver production-ready designs
• Create wireframes, mockups, and prototypes aligned with strategic design consistency

Required Qualifications

• BS in UX/UI, Human Factors, Psychology, Ergonomics, or related field (2-year Associate's Degree also accepted)
• 0–2 years of relevant experience (internship experience counts!)
• Proficiency in Figma — wireframing, prototyping, simulations, and spec documentation
• Experience collaborating with software engineers on UI design and product architecture
• Proficiency in MS Office
• Strong communication, collaboration, and ability to manage multiple priorities

Preferred Qualifications:

• Prior UI design experience for off-road heavy equipment displays
• Experience gathering feedback from heavy equipment operators
• Knowledge of Human-Centered Design principles
• High creativity with ability to work within a design framework
• Detail-oriented with a strong eye for aesthetics and styling.

Work Environment:

• Small, collaborative UX/UI team within a matrix organization supporting multiple product groups
• Large office co-located with all Product Development Engineering disciplines - right next to the machines you're designing for
