Job Description
Parsons is looking for a User Experience Designer to join our team. In this role you will support key activities in defense of emerging threats in the cybersecurity domain. You will work as part of a team that develops and tailors capabilities with the goal to prevent and eradicate cyber threats to critical U.S. systems.
Responsibilities
- Provide user experience design support for government systems, translating mission and functional requirements into usable, accessible, and consistent user‑centric visualizations ensuring consistent look/feel/operational workflows.
- Validate user requirements by conducting user research, workflow analysis, and usability evaluations to inform design decisions.
- Validate system usability in coordination with development team members and government stakeholders.
- Develop and maintain UX artifacts, including wireframes, mockups, prototypes, and design standards, ensuring compliance with government accessibility requirements (e.g., Section 508) and approved design guidelines.
- Collaborate with contractor personnel to support system development, integration, testing, and change management activities, and provide required UI/UX documentation and deliverables.
- Collaborate in agile scrum cycles, contributing to design sessions, and providing support for testing and documentation.
Required Skills
- Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Systems, or related field.
- Seven (7+) years’ experience as a UX Designer (11+ years’ experience as UX Designer if no degree).
- Proficiency with UX design tools.
- Experience with HTML/CSS principles and experience working in close collaboration with both government customers and software developers.
- U.S. Citizenship.
- Active TS/SCI security clearance with polygraph.

- Ability to communicate with technical team members and managers.
- Flexibility to deliver in accordance with scheduled priorities that may shift in a dynamic cyber environment.
Security Clearance Requirement
An active Top Secret SCI w/Polygraph security clearance is required for this position.
Salary Range
$148,300.00 – $266,900.00
