About the Role

The UX/UI Designer will deliver intuitive, accessible, and visually consistent interfaces with a strong emphasis on usability for both public users and a non-technical internal content manager.

Responsibilities

Develop wireframes, prototypes, and final UI designs
Create simple and intuitive navigation for department-based structure
Design mobile-first and responsive layouts (majority mobile users)
Ensure compliance with accessibility standards (color contrast, typography, interaction)
Optimize design for ease of content updates by a single CMS user
Incorporate County branding while allowing modernization

Required/Preferred Skills

5+ years of UX/UI design experience
Experience designing accessible, government or public-sector websites preferred
Strong knowledge of WCAG-compliant design practices
Expertise in tools like Figma, Adobe XD
