Your Role

In this crucial position, you will drive the sales process by collaborating closely with Cisco account teams, channel partners, and federal customers to support their mission to protect, serve, and educate. Engage with Cisco's product management and industry solutions teams to provide feedback and craft strategies that meet the distinctive needs of the DIB and large manufacturing facilities.

  • Deliver expert technical and sales support to federal and national security stakeholders.
  • Conduct high-impact technical presentations and foster strong collaboration across Cisco departments.
  • Assist in crafting formal sales plans, proposals, and RFPs for complex, large-scale projects.
  • Support and navigate critical projects and high-stakes situations, offering robust, secure solutions as necessary.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert (SME), providing consultative support to fellow Systems Engineers on industrial networking and federal compliance matters.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 5+ years of Pre-Sales experience with Cisco products/services or relevant offerings in the industrial sector.
  • Deep knowledge and experience in at least one architecture: Data Center, Collaboration, Security, Router/Switch/Wireless, SD-WAN, Manufacturing, or IIoT.
  • Proven experience leading large technology sales requiring executive-level support.
  • Experience in selling industrial networking, cloud, analytics, and security solutions within the Defense Industrial Base (DIB) or large manufacturing sectors.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Cisco and other relevant certifications (e.g., CCIE, CCNP, CCDE, DevNet).
  • Familiarity with competitive networking products (e.g., Moxa, Hirschmann, Fortinet, Cradlepoint).
  • Knowledge of solution sets, product specifications, performance criteria, and industrial applications.
  • Understanding of federal cybersecurity compliance frameworks (e.g., NIST, CMMC) is highly desirable.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication, listening, negotiation, and presentation skills for effective consultative selling.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government security clearance.

Message to Applicants

The starting salary range for this position is $197,600.00 to $249,500.00, reflecting projected salaries for new hires in the U.S. and/or Canada, excluding incentive compensation, equity, or benefits. Individual pay is determined based on hiring location, market conditions, skills, experience, qualifications, and education.
