UX Designer
Upwork
About the role
We are looking for an experienced UX Designer to review an active B2B SaaS platform and provide clear, structured, and actionable feedback across both the interface and supporting documentation.
We need someone who can step into the product, understand how it works as a system, and bring clarity to how users move, decide, and act within it.
What You’ll Be Working With
- A live, white-labeled B2B platform
- Multi-user workflows across roles, permissions, and structured data
- Core product areas: search, navigation, document interaction, system activity
- Supporting documentation and user-facing materials
- An existing draft layer of UX feedback already in progress
Core Areas of Review
- Information Architecture – Does the structure align with how users think and navigate?
- Clarity of Actions – At any point, is it obvious what the user should do next?
- System Consistency – Are patterns predictable, repeatable, and reliable across the platform?
- Visual Hierarchy – Is attention directed intentionally? What’s competing, and what’s missing?
What We Need From You
- Review the current build and build on existing feedback—not restart it
- Identify friction across multi-step workflows and role-based interactions
- Provide structured, prioritized insights with clear rationale
- Recommend improvements that are practical within a live product environment
- Align product experience with supporting documentation
Expected Deliverables (Handover)
You will provide a structured UX audit that the team can directly execute against, including:
- Executive Summary (1–2 pages)
- Clear overview of what’s working, where friction exists, and top priorities
- Detailed Audit by Core Areas
- (Information Architecture, Clarity of Actions, System Consistency, Visual Hierarchy)
- Prioritized Issue List
- Clear breakdown of issues with:
- Impact
- Recommendation
- Relative effort
- Clear breakdown of issues with:
- Annotated Screens
- Using the existing UI to highlight:
- What’s not working
- Why it matters
- What to adjust
- Using the existing UI to highlight:
- Quick Wins vs. Deeper Improvements
- Separation of:
- Immediate fixes (labels, hierarchy, placement)
- Larger system improvements (flows, structure, patterns)
- Separation of:
All outputs should be clear, structured, and implementation-ready.
How You’ll Work
You will be stepping into work that is already in motion.
We are looking for someone who can:
- Respect and build on existing thinking
- Refine and strengthen ideas without unnecessary disruption
- Communicate feedback that is direct, calm, and constructive
- Maintain momentum while increasing clarity and quality
The goal is not to critique for the sake of critique— it’s to elevate what’s already in motion.
Pace & Turnaround
We are moving quickly.
- Initial review and structured feedback expected within 3–5 days
- Ability to prioritize what matters most under tight timelines
- Availability for quick alignment touchpoints if needed
Speed matters—but so does judgment.
Ideal Candidate
- Proven experience with B2B SaaS or enterprise platforms
- Strong understanding of complex systems, workflows, and user roles
- Ability to audit, synthesize, and communicate clearly
- Comfortable working within existing products and evolving environments
- Brings a measured, professional approach to feedback—clear, not abrasive
We are looking for someone who can step in, create clarity, and move the product forward with precision—without overcomplicating what’s already working.
