The Ideal Candidate

• 3+ years of experience in UX/UI design, with strong visual and creative skills.
• Proven experience in working with and contributing to design systems.
• You work as a generalist in the UX field and can drive projects independently and with high quality.
• Proficient in Figma, Miro, and JIRA, as well as a basic understanding of GitHub in the context of design system workflows.
• In-depth knowledge of current web and app technologies, especially React, React Native, and Web Components.
• Familiarity with design tokens, Figma variables, and tools like Tokens Studio or comparable solutions.
• Experience with modern design workflows, including Storybook and AI-powered tools. Experience with AI Agents and Figma (Console) MCP is a plus.
• Excellent German and English skills, both written and spoken.

Your Responsibilities

• Community Management: You are the active interface between KOSMOS and the Product Teams. You proactively approach teams, identify needs, and offer support. You collect and bundle feedback and bugs, moderate regular community formats like KOSMOS Coffee or Open Hours, and ensure that KOSMOS is anchored throughout the organization.
• Component Development & Quality: You design and build reusable, scalable UI components in Figma, ensure the correct use of design tokens, and bring components from the Product Teams up to a consistently high quality standard. You use modern AI-supported tools and, together with your engineering colleagues, ensure a seamless connection between design and code.
• Documentation: You create structured, understandable design documentation in Markdown format that forms the basis of all digital touchpoints, can be consumed by AI tools, and is continuously maintained.
• Processes & Organization: You define and optimize design system processes, ensure their compliance, and maintain an overview even in a dynamic multi-brand environment.
• Coordination & Stakeholder Management: You bring Design, Engineering, and Leadership to a common understanding of roadmaps, dependencies, and framework conditions.
• Co-Ownership of KOSMOS: KOSMOS is not a finished product that you just maintain. You help shape it and have real co-responsibility and the chance to shape the system from the ground up.

About KOSMOS

KOSMOS is our multi-brand design system that unites brands like XXXLutz, Mömax, and Möbelix. It is currently being developed in a small, highly motivated team with a clear focus on AI-supported workflows and modern tooling. You have the opportunity to be involved from the beginning and actively shape the system.

For the position as UX Designer – Design Systems (m/f/d), an annual gross salary starting from € 55,000 is expected – with a clear willingness to pay more if you convince with experience and know-how.
