About
We are seeking a creative and detail-oriented UI / UX Designer to lead the design and user experience for both our internal intranet and external‑facing website. This role will ensure a visually engaging, accessible, and user‑friendly digital presence that aligns with best practices and organizational goals.
This will be 20+/- hours per week, for the next 3‑4 months, remote. Starting asap!

Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement the look and feel for both the intranet and external website.
- Apply best web design practices to ensure consistency, usability, and performance.
- Collaborate with stakeholders using existing wireframes and templates to guide design decisions.
- Select and adapt templates based on user experience principles and AODA (Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act) compliance.
- Analyze and incorporate current website analytics to inform design improvements and user flow optimization.
- Lead the migration from the legacy SharePoint platform to a new, modern web platform, ensuring continuity, improved usability, and accessibility.
- Work closely with IT and content owners to ensure a smooth transition and accurate content mapping.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in web design, UX/UI, or digital communications.
- Strong understanding of web standards, responsive design, and accessibility (AODA).
- Experience with SharePoint and web platform migrations.
- Proficiency in design tools (e.g., Adobe XD, Figma, Sketch) and CMS platforms.
- Ability to interpret wireframes and translate them into functional, engaging designs.
- Familiarity with web analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics) to drive data‑informed decisions.
