About
Williams Group is a healthcare professional services firm serving independent optometry practice owners nationwide. We provide valuation/appraisal services, transaction support (peer-to-peer and private equity/corporate), and financial/tax advisory. We’re hiring a valuation-focused Financial Analyst to help lead and scale our appraisal and deal-support work. This role will sign off on approximately 4–5 optometry practice valuations per month and support project managers on Marketplace and Private Equity/Corporate engagements with valuation analysis and transaction support through closing.
What You’ll Do
- Prepare and review business valuations/appraisals for optometry practices (asset and enterprise approaches as appropriate)
- Build and defend normalized EBITDA and related adjustments (add-backs, owner comp normalization, one-time items)
- Develop valuation models (DCF, market multiple methods, rules-of-thumb cross-checks) and prepare client-ready reports
- Support transaction teams with valuation inputs during LOI, diligence, and closing
- Participate in client calls to explain assumptions, results, and value drivers clearly and credibly
- Maintain valuation workpapers, documentation, and internal QA standards
What Success Looks Like
- Consistent, high-quality valuation reports delivered on time
- Clear, well-supported EBITDA normalization and assumptions that stand up to buyer scrutiny
- Faster deal cycles and improved internal handoffs to project managers

- 3+ years of experience in one or more: business valuation, FP&A, transaction advisory, investment banking, private equity, or valuation consulting
- Strong skills in Excel/financial modeling (EBITDA normalization, forecasting, scenario analysis)
- Ability to write clearly and produce client-facing reports
- Professional judgment and comfort owning deliverables
Preferred
- Experience valuing healthcare practices (optometry/dentistry/medical) or other professional service businesses
- Familiarity with SBA lending constraints and how lenders evaluate cash flow
- Experience supporting transactions through LOI and close
Tools & Work Style
- Excel / Skillora 365 (Teams, SharePoint)
